Today.

It was another hot day today.

I went for the Juniors parade this morning, where the Boys had a short devotion by Mdm Shirley. Then they watched a movie together.

After that, I walked with Dennis, Guan Long, Meng Soon, Yifeng, Jeffrey and Shawn, back to church, where captain was discussing next year's recruitment programmes with Jia Wei, Meng Huat and Joshua. Boris, Samuel and Yan Hao were studying there too.

After lunch, I was of 2 minds whether to go to Sim Lim Square for window shopping, and to get DVD-R discs for my DVD recorder. In the end, I did. Wen Wei came along, but he went to Sim Lim Tower to get stuff for his office.

In Sim Lim Square, I was tempted by the Philips 22 inch LCD monitor (only $349), and I also thought of getting a 2GB micro SD card for my phone. In the end, I bought neither, just the DVD-R discs.

Wen Wei met me later, and we went to Bugis Junction to walk around and have dinner. Wen Wei said it was the first time he went to Bugis Junction - we really must have more eductional tours to such places for our guys. Seoul Garden was full, so we had dinner at Seafood Harvest (run by Jacks Place). The food was so so, but the air-cond was nice. When we finished, we had to wait very long for my bill to come.

Here are some pictures I took using my handphone.

Finally Here - Our 40th Anniversary Reunion

Yes, it's finally here - our 40th Anniversary Reunion.

Most of us were in church by noon today, to get ready for the big event. We also celebrated the August and September birthdays - Orlando, Xavier, Junrong and officer Justin.

The first to arrive were 3 ex-Junior Boys - Caleb, Jun Hong and one other (sorry, just cannot remember his name).

Then the rest started arriving.

We started the programme late, to wait for more old Boys to arrive. Everything ran smoothly. And it was clear that everyone enjoyed the programme from start to finish. Cenydd messaged later to say it was a walk down memory lane, and it's been a blast. Jinyi said he was glad he came and saw the rest of the guys.

Wen Wei could not play his "Guess The Photo" game, as we overshot the time significantly.

The fellowship over dinner was simply warm and infectious. It was good to meet up with so many old Boys, and to see them renew their friendships after so many years. Some of the old Boys were clearly awe-struck by the many many Company t-shirts we printed over the years.

At the end, some of them adjourned to Hwa Luen's cafe in East Coast.

In the words of Wilfred, a church member - it was an excellent event. And he encouraged us to have smaller gatherings to bring the old Boys together again.

Thanks to all for a fantastic job. Special thanks also to Uncle Martin Cheah and Samuel Tan for taking photographs and video-taping the event for us. After this event, nothing will be difficult for us to organise.

Here are some pictures. Enjoy!
