I was looking forward to dinner at Kuishin Bo with Dennis and Darren. Joshua couldn't join us because he had music practice. I am writing as though we had dinner at Kuishin Bo. Actually, we didn't. The place was fully booked when I called before noon. The lady asked us to walk in and queue. Dennis and I decided not to.
We went to eat at Pastamania in West Mall. I had "mee bok" (don't know the Italian name - Fer.. something) with clams and mussels. Dennis had creamy chicken with some funny looking pasta (short and with hole in the centre). Darren wanted spicy crayfish spaghetti, but we ordered clams and mussels for him. Not our fault - at first he wanted that, then changed his mind. We had the full combo. I chose minestrone soup, while the 2 brothers chose clam chowder. Dennis kept asking me if I really wanted minestrone. Apparently the last time we ate at Pastamania in Causeway Point, I complained that it tasted like water. Well, it did again this time.
The meal wasn't filling enough, so we wanted to have ice cream at Swensen's. Walking there, the 2 brothers suddenly talked about "Money No Enough 2", and wanted to watch it then. I decided not to join them. So after browsing at the DVD shop, I left the 2 of them and came home to watch the Olympics opening ceremony.
It was spectacular, that's all I can say. Made me proud that I am Chinese - hope I don't sound like a racist. If you missed it, catch the repeat. I am sure they will be showing it many times on various channels. In fact, right after the ceremony ended, they started the repeat, the whole 4 hours of it.
The lighting of the Olympic flame was breath-taking.

This must have been the most touching scene.

The fantastic pyrotechnics.

This was the segment that I liked best. Wonder how they made the rings rise from the ground to the air. Fantastic.

Wish I was there.

Time to sleep. Good night.
